4 days: Fes to Marrakech via Desert
Day 1 : Fes – Medilt – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Desert):
After the Breakfast Leaving Fez and going to Todra Gorges , passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take pictures of wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village of Zaida. We continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Medilt to arrive to the small town of Rich,Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. And then continue to Merzouga. we will spend the night in a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 2 : Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert by 4×4 – Merzouga – Camel Ride & Night in Desert:
This will be a stage where after breakfast, we travel another of the tracks they used for “Paris-Dakar Rally, visiting the desert nomads who take tea and see the oasis where they filmed some movies like” Sahara “starring by Penelope Cruz. Visit the town of “blacks”, named for the slave trade brought from the Sudan. And after eating will change the traction of 4×4 for the animal traction. The dromedaries us into the desert dunes to watch a sunset to remember. Tonight will be special, we sleep in the dunes in nomadic tents , as do the Berbers. Here Berber enjoy dinner, music and a starry night you will never forget. Dinner and night in a traditional Berber nomad tent. (an unforgettable night.)
Day 3 : Camel Trekking back to Merzouga – Berber Villages – Ouarzazate:
We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We leave the Sahara desert dunes of Erg Chebbi, an off-road drive across the hamada (black Desert) to get to the Sahara town of Rissani, optional visit of the animated local market. Afterwards, we head north to Erfoud that is known for the fossils , here we can stop to visit a fossil workshop, we continue to Ouarzazate We will be impressed by the landscapes of the colorful rose valley before we reach Skoura palm grove. 45km further, we reach Ouarzazate for the dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech:
After breakfast, we can enjoy a visit of cinema sets & studios located in Ouarzazate which is known as Hollywood of Africa. Afterwards we will visit the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by UNESCO in 1987. Ait Benhaddou is the World Heritage site that has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films including “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture in which the Kasbahs are built. We continue our way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass. Break for lunch in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. Drop off at your Marrakech Riad/Hotel, where the Tour ends.
